This position is responsible for undertaking research and analysis on a diverse portfolio of areas relevant to Local Government in Western Australia and the preparation of advice and policy positions on issues relating to the sector. This role also provides administrative support, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and correspondence for the team. You will need strong communication skills, organisational and project management skills, and the ability to prioritise and adapt to a changing landscape. Demonstrated experience with policy development and the ability to develop harmonious relationships with stakeholders is essential. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the role of Local Government and an interest in community development and emergency management.
